Our History
In the words of Rick Dana:
"Our family’s journey in pest control began when my father, Don Dana, responded to a newspaper ad: 'Exterminator Needed.' That simple decision launched a legacy. He started at Bliss Pest Control in the Bronx, immersing himself in the craft of pest management.
"Within six months, he moved to Westchester, where a single technician covered the entire region. As both a service technician and salesman, My Dad brought dedication and skill to every job, earning the trust of his clients."
After years of hard work, he transformed the Westchester operation, growing it from one person to a large team of 20 and rising to shop foreman during his 20 years with Bliss. When the opportunity came to start his own business, he seized it, building a thriving company in Westchester that flourished for over two decades.
I grew up by his side, working summers and after school, captivated by the challenge of solving pest issues. At 17, I passed my pest control service technician test. Now, with over 40 years in the industry, I’m proud to carry on the family tradition, working alongside my own son. The legacy my father started continues to grow.
Being a family-run company is at the heart of who we are. The love for this industry—solving problems, helping people, and making a difference—binds our family generations. My son, the third generation, carries the Dana name with the same passion and commitment that my father instilled in me. Together, we uphold a legacy built on trust, hard work, and a genuine dedication to keeping our community pest-free."
